Here is a great post about winter. I borrowed some of the text for this song. Here's the best part: I wanted to say something today about winter, since it clear it’s never ending. Although I can tough out the winter as much as the next Finn, seasonal doldrums effect the best of us, and I fall victim every year. This is about the time when it starts; I’ll catch myself casually scanning through Cormac McCarthy novels, or googleing things like “nuclear winter” or “root canal.” Fortunately, time can only move forward (as far as we know) and so spring is inevitable. -- emma Comments[7] |

Thu, 22 January 2009 ![]() This picture is actually from March of 2006, but the sun! The sun is shining! Today's song is both Emma on guitar and jingle bells, and Q on floor tom and vocals. The sun was shining brilliantly today and made me feel like a whole new person, so today's words are: I know we need the winter, but I'm ready for the spring. I'm ready to start growing things. Let's talk about the garden, let's talk about our seeds, let's talk about the compost, let's talk about pulling weeds. The sun is shining and my heart is taking wing. I know we need the winter, but I'm ready for the spring." -- emma Comments[0] |
